Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places in 10 districts of Odisha during the next three hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning issued on Saturday.
The warning was issued at 1.20 pm, with the weather department forecasting light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning in Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Jajpur, Kendujhar, Koraput, Rayagada and Nabarangpur districts.
According to the IMD, the weather conditions are likely to prevail at one or two places in these districts within the next three hours.
The weather office advised people in the affected districts to remain alert and keep a watch on changing weather conditions. It urged residents to take necessary precautions and plan their activities accordingly in view of the possibility of worsening weather.
