Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow warning for Bhubaneswar and Kataka cities, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at isolated places over the next three hours.
The nowcast warning, issued by the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar at 3.40 pm on October 14, also covers Baleswar, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kandhamal and Rayagada districts.
Residents have been advised to remain alert to changing weather conditions and take necessary precautions in case the situation deteriorates.
The yellow alert urges people to monitor weather updates and plan their activities accordingly to ensure safety.
