Bhubaneswar: Retired IAS officer Pradeep Kumar Jena has resigned from the post of Chairperson of the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC), officials said on Monday.
According to a notification issued by the Odisha Energy Department, Jena tendered his resignation citing personal reasons. The resignation has been accepted by the state government with effect from May 25, 2026 (afternoon).
The notification, issued by the Energy Department, stated that the Governor had accepted the resignation and allowed Jena to relinquish charge from the post.
Jena, a retired IAS officer, had earlier served as the Chief Secretary of Odisha before being appointed as the Chairperson of the state electricity regulatory body.
