Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday held discussions with Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson of SAI International Education Group, on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
During the meeting, Pradhan emphasised the need to strengthen foundational learning across all levels of schooling and to make the education system more skill-oriented, in line with emerging global requirements. He also highlighted the importance of promoting Indian languages and increasing social participation in the education ecosystem.
The discussions further covered issues related to nutrition in schools and ensuring greater transparency in fee structures, with a focus on enhancing accountability within educational institutions.
Pradhan also underscored the significance of developing an education ecosystem rooted in Indian values.
