Bhubaneswar: As many as four stations in Odisha recorded a maximum day temperature of 40°C and above by 2.30 pm today.
The western Odisha town of Sambalpur was the hottest place in the state and recorded a maximum day temperature of 44.2°C followed by Jharsuguda 43.4°C, Hirakud 42.8°C, and Bhubaneswar 41.8°C the India Meteorological Department (IMD) shared on Twitter.
Similarly, Keonjhar recorded a maximum day temperature of 36.6°C, followed by Gopalpur 35.4°C, Puri 34.6°C, Paradip 32.8°C, Balasore 32.6°C and Chandbali 26.8°C.
