Bhubaneswar: In view of the impending flood situation in the Baitarani and Brahmani river systems and adverse weather conditions, the Jajpur district administration has ordered the suspension of classes in all schools across Jajpur district on Friday (July 31) and Saturday (August 1).
According to an official order issued by the District Education Office, all government, government-aided, and private schools—including OAVs and Higher Secondary Schools will remain closed for these two days to ensure the safety of students.
The order, signed by the Collector & District Magistrate, Jajpur, states: “Pursuant to the intending flood situation in Baitarani and Brahmani river system, adverse weather condition and keeping in view safety of school students, classes are hereby declared to be suspended…”
This precautionary measure comes amid concerns over heavy rainfall and rising water levels in the major river systems of the region.
