Bhubaneswar: In view of an Orange Warning for heavy rainfall issued by the Special Relief Commissioner, Balangir Collector and District Magistrate has ordered the closure of all educational institutions in the district for two days.
According to an official notification, all government, government-aided and private educational institutions — including Elementary, Secondary, Higher Secondary schools, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs), Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) — in Balangir district will remain closed on September 23 and September 24.
The decision has been taken to ensure the safety and security of students in light of the forecast of heavy rainfall. However, any examinations already scheduled on these two dates will be conducted as per the existing schedule without any change.
All heads of institutions have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the order. The order was issued by the Additional District Magistrate, Balangir, on behalf of the Collector.
