Series Of Robberies Rock Odisha’s Soro

Soro: After Bhubaneswar, a spate of thefts in Soro in Odisha’s Balasore district has left the local residents panicked and worried.

On Wednesday night, robbers looted four houses in Tunda Pada under Soro police limits decamping with jewellery and cash worth lakhs. All the thefts have been captured by CCTV cameras installed in the area.

Gold jewellery worth Rs 80,000 was robbed from the house of one Manamatha Nayak, while the thieves decamped with cash to the tune of Rs 85,000 from the house of Markand Nayak. The robberies took place when no one was at home. The robbers also looted the house of a lawyer, who had gone to celebrate a festival.

On being informed,  Soro police reached the spot and started investigation.
