Sex Racket Busted in Bhadrak; 4 Arrested; 2 Women Rescued

Bhadrak: Police in Bhadrak district busted a sex racket by conducting simultaneous raids at two hotels under separate police station limits, arresting four customers and rescuing two young women, officials said on Wednesday.

Acting on specific inputs, the Bhadrak Sadar Police raided a hotel near Rajghat Bridge in Bhadrak town. During the operation, one young woman was rescued and two customers were apprehended from the spot.

In a similar crackdown, another team carried out a raid at a hotel near Dhamra Bridge, where one more young woman was rescued and two customers were arrested.

Police said the statements of both the rescued women have been recorded, and they were subjected to medical examination as per procedure. Subsequently, they were handed over to their family members.

The four arrested customers are being forwarded to court, police added, while further investigation into the racket is underway.
