Bhubaneswar: After two months of intense culinary competition across residential communities in the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack twin city, Shradhanjali Swain, Suparna Mishra and Anjana Patra emerged as the winners of the 93.5 Red FM Kitchen Premier League (KPL) 2026 Grand Finale, held on Sunday at the Adventure Convention & Resort, Pipili.

The Grand Finale witnessed a thrilling contest among 20 finalists, each of whom had earned their place through preliminary rounds conducted in various housing societies over the past two months. The finalists represented a diverse mix of passionate home chefs, culinary enthusiasts, and amateur cooks who showcased exceptional creativity and skill in the kitchen.

In the final challenge, contestants were required to prepare a dish of their choice within a stipulated time of 90 minutes. The participants demonstrated remarkable innovation, presentation, flavour combinations, and culinary techniques, making the competition both exciting and closely contested.

At the end of the rigorous evaluation Shradhanjali Swain from Kokila Garden, Pokhariput won the contest whereas Suparna Mishra from Pristine Greens, Pokhariput emerged as the First Runner-Up and Anjana Patra from Rockpool Heights, Patia was adjudged the Second Runner-Up. Shradhanjali’s Chappanbhog Platter dedicated to the Chappanbhog of Lord Shree Jagannath emerged on top whereas the Berhampur-styled Fish Ambila by Suparna won huge accolades from judges and crowds alike for its simplicity and minimalist cooking. Anjana Patra’s pan-India platter was a treat to eyes as well as tastebuds.

The dishes were judged by a host of Chefs and Hospitality Stalwarts led by Sameer Ali, a Hospitality Industry veteran and presently Bhubaneswar Park Head, Wonderla Holidays Limited. The judges assessed the entries on parameters including taste, originality, presentation, texture, hygiene, and overall culinary excellence.

The event concluded with the felicitation of the winners and finalists amid enthusiastic applause from participants, families, and supporters. Shradhanjali Swain was awarded a Cash Prize of INR Ten Thousand whereas Suparna Mishra was awarded a Cash Prize of INR Seven Thousand and INR Five Thousand was awarded to Anjana Patra, along with a host of goodies and gift hampers from the event organisers.

The 93.5 Red FM Kitchen Premier League has emerged as one of the region’s most engaging community-based culinary competitions, designed to discover and celebrate hidden cooking talent among homemakers, working professionals, and food enthusiasts. By taking the competition directly to housing societies, the initiative provides aspiring home chefs with a platform to showcase their skills beyond their kitchens and gain recognition for their culinary passion.

The 2026 edition witnessed enthusiastic participation from housing societies across the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack twin city, with hundreds of contestants competing in the preliminary rounds. The grand finale represented the culmination of this city-wide culinary journey, featuring the best performers from each locality.
