Jeypore: In a horrifying incident, a six-year-old girl was mauled to death by a stray dog at Phuphu gaan near Borigumma area of Koraput district.
In the early hours of Tuesday, Chandini Harijan (6) went to play in the field near her house with her brother. At that time, four to five stray dogs came and attacked Chandini first. Her brother ran away from there in fear and informed the villagers.
Immediately, some people chased the dogs and rescued the girl, who was in a bloody state and took her to Kumuliput hospital, but the doctor declared her dead.
According to reports, Chandini was studying at her maternal uncle’s house in Phuphugaon while her parents resided in another village.
