Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a strong warning to fishermen, advising them not to venture into the sea along and off the North Odisha Coast on May 28 and 29.
According to the Meteorological Centre of Bhubaneswar, squally weather is very likely to prevail along and off North Odisha during these two days. Wind speeds are expected to reach 40-50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph. Sea conditions are likely to become rough to very rough.
Fishermen are strongly advised not to go out to sea on these two days due to the expected adverse weather and sea conditions.
IMD has urged fishermen and boat operators to take necessary precautions and remain in safe locations during this period.
