Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will release the third phase of the first instalment of Subhadra Yojana on November 24, informed Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Saturday.
Parida made this significant announcement upon her return from London, via Biju Patnaik International Airport, stating that the third phase of the Subhadra Yojana will launch in Sundargarh district in the presence of several ministers. This phase is expected to benefit over 20 lakh women, with financial assistance being credited directly into their bank accounts.
Speaking to the media, Parida said, “A function will be held in Sundargarh district for the purpose on November 24. The state government has directed all panchayat offices to publish the list of rejected applicants, enabling them to understand the reasons for rejection and reapply. Over 20 lakh women are expected to receive their money in the third phase. Ultimately, over 1 crore women will benefit from the scheme by December, as part of the government’s ambitious initiative to empower women across Odisha.”
Parida further announced that the third phase of financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana will be credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts on the said date. This phase will cover all those who were previously excluded.
Notably, this move is part of the Odisha government’s flagship program, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024, to empower women.
