Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Padma Shree awardee Sudarshan Pattanaik and his seven students have created the world’s largest sand sculpture of Lord Shri Ram and the Ayodhya Ram Mandir near Saryu Guest House in Ayodhya to mark the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Shri Ram.
The sculpture is 55-foot-long, 23-foot-tall, and 35-foot-wide and is decorated with 500 miniature replicas of Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
Pattnaik and his team have depicted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on either side of the sand sculpture. The sculpture was recognised as the world’s largest sand sculpture of Lord Ram by the World Records Book of India on Sunday.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Aditya Nath visited the Ram Katha Park on Sunday and took a selfie with the sand sculpture in the background. He also posed for photographs in front of the sand sculpture.
“We have crafted the massive sand sculpture to celebrate the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya temple,” Pattnaik said.
