Bhubaneswar: In a bid to ensure hassle-free travel and meet the surge in passenger demand during the summer season, the Indian Railways has extended the operation of several special trains connecting key routes.
According to an official release, the 07679 Charlapalli–Kharagpur Special will now run up to July 29, 2026, while its return service, 07680 Kharagpur–Charlapalli Special, has been extended till July 30, 2026.
Similarly, the 07699 Charlapalli–Santragachi Special will continue operations up to July 25, 2026, and the 07700 Santragachi–Charlapalli Special up to July 26, 2026.
Railway authorities stated that the trains will operate with their existing timings and stoppages.
Each train will have a composition of 24 coaches, including two AC 2-tier, eight AC 3-tier, eight sleeper class, and four general second class coaches, along with two luggage-cum-generator-cum-brake vans equipped with Divyang-friendly facilities.
Passengers have been advised to take note of the extended services and plan their journeys accordingly.
