Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Prasanna Kumar Patra, Deputy Director, Soil Conservation-cum-Project Director, Watershed, Sundargarh in a disproportionate assets (DA) case. He will be forwarded today to the Court of Special Vigilance Judge, Sundargada.
According to Vigilance, searches conducted on the properties of Patra revealed possession of disproportionate assets including 4 multi-storeyed buildings and 1 flat at Bhubaneswar, 7 high value plots, 212 grams gold, deposits of Rs 1.46 crore, cash Rs 1.29 lakh, which he could not explain satisfactorily.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS Case No.13/2026 has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Patra. Further investigation is underway.
