Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for two Odisha districts, alerting people about the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and moderate rain in the next three hours.
According to the warning issued at 2:00 pm on Friday, thunderstorm with lightning, light to moderate rain, and gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over Kalahandi and Balangir districts during the next three hours.
The IMD has advised residents of these districts to move to safer locations if conditions worsen and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
