Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain is likely in 12 Odisha districts including the cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
“Light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain likely to affect some parts of districts of Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Malkangiri within next three hours,” said a nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD’s) Centre here at 6.30 PM on Saturday.
The IMD has issued an ‘Yellow’ alert for the aforementioned districts.
The people have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes.
