Train Derailment: Goods Train Goes Off Track Near Bangiriposhi

Bhubaneswar: A goods train derailed near Bangiriposhi station in Mayurbhanj district, on Monday. The incident occurred while the train was on its way from Baripada to Bangiriposhi.

According to reports, the train’s engine and some coaches were on track, but one coach derailed. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

However, the derailment has affected train services, with the Bangiriposhi-Rupsa DEMU train cancelled.

The train was carrying metal cargo. The Kharagpur Road railway division has informed about the incident.

A technical team from the railway department is rushing to the spot to assess the situation.
