Bhubaneswar: A mild earthquake jolted parts of Koraput and Malkangiri in Odisha on Wednesday morning.
The tremor was felt at 07.27 AM at Damanjodi in Koraput district. A similar situation was also felt in neighbouring Bijapur and Sukma of Chhattisgarh.
No loss of lives and properties has been reported anywhere in Odisha.
The epicentre of the earthquake was Mulugu of Telangana, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
As per the NCS, the tremor of 5.3 magnitude was recorded at around 7:27 am on Wednesday and was centred around the Mulugu region at a depth of 40 km.
