Soro: A biker was killed instantly after being run over by a truck near Chhapolia on National Highway 16 under Soro police jurisdiction on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Bijay Kumar Jena, a resident of Parikula village under Balasore Sadar police limits. Jena, who worked for an electronics goods distributor in Balasore, was en route to Khaira to deliver goods when the accident occurred.
According to reports, a truck hit Jena and fled the scene after the incident. Soro police have launched an investigation into the matter. The body was seized and sent to Soro Community Health Centre (CHC) for post-mortem examination.
