Bhubaneswar: In a rare case, a woman has given birth to a baby with two heads at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

According to reports, the woman hails from Kandhamal district. The newborn has one body and one heart but has two heads. The baby is currently kept in the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) of the medical college and is undergoing treatment.

Medical experts have identified this extremely rare condition as craniopagus parasiticus, a form of conjoined twins where infants are born physically connected at the head.

The baby is under constant observation at the advanced SNCU facility, where doctors are closely monitoring vital parameters including respiration, heart rate and other essential health indicators.
