Two Minor Children Injured In Mobile Phone Battery Explosion

Bolangir: Two minor children were sustained serious burn injuries when a mobile phone battery they were playing exploded in Padil village under Patnagarh police limits on Sunday afternoon.

The injured children were identified as Ranjit Dalei and Jawahar Sanad.

According to reports, the children were playing with the mobile phone battery near their house when it exploded causing grievous injuries to them.

While returning from school after Saraswati Puja celebrations the two children found a dumped mobile phone battery and started playing with it. One of them tried to break the battery with a stone and it exploded injuring the children.

The injured kids were rushed to the Patnagarh Hospital and later shifted to Bolangir District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as their condition deteriorated.

On being informed, a team from Patnagarh police reached the spot and launched an investigation.
