Two Shot At By Miscreants In Cashew Forest In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: Two persons were injured after shot at by two unknown miscreants at Pokasunga village under Polsara police station in Ganjam district.

The incident took place Abkash Jani and Raghunath Jani were collecting cashew in village forest.

According to reports, today both Abkash Jani and Raghunath Jani went to the forest near the village to pluck cashew nuts.

While picking cashew nuts, miscreants shot both of them from behind. As a result, Abkash and Raghunath sustained injuries in the leg with three rounds of bullet.

After being informed, the family members reached the spot and   rescued them before immediately taking to Buguda Community Health Centre. Both are undergoing treatment there.

The family members of both the victims lodged a complaint with police.

Police arrived at the scene and started an investigation. The reason of firing remains unclear.
