Two-Year-Old Child Dies Due To Electrocution In Nuapada District

Bhubaneswar: In a heartbreaking incident, a two-year-old boy died after coming into contact with a live electric wire in Bhela Chhatriapada village under Khariar Police Station limits in Nuapada district.

According to reports, the toddler was playing inside his house when he suddenly grabbed a live electric wire that was lying exposed. He suffered a severe electric shock and was critically injured. Family members immediately rushed the child to a nearby hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The entire village has been plunged into mourning following the tragic death. Villagers expressed deep concern over the poor safety measures of electric wires and have demanded strict action to prevent such negligence in the future.
