Malkangiri: The bodies of a young boy and girl were found hanging from a tree in a forest near Kanaguda village in Gumphakonda panchayat under Kalimela police limits on Monday. The bodies were retrieved and sent for autopsy.
While the identity of the couple is yet to be established, it was found that they were suspended from a branch with two belts, apparently belonging to them. The were around 20 to 25 years old, the police said.
A team of BSF and local people spotted the bodies and a motorcyle lying nearby today morning and alerted Kalimela police. According to reports, a forensic team from Koraput has been pressed into service to help local police probe the case.
