Bhubaneswar: Tension mounted in the Utkal University campus here today after a group of unidentified miscreants wielding swords and bhujalis went on a rampage threatening students with their lives.
According to reports, the group of unidentified miscreants today evening slapped a student in front of the old VC office building and threatened him with swords and bhujalis.
The miscreants also overturned a few two-wheelers parked at the spot and left.
By the time Saheed Nagar police reached the campus, the miscreants had fled the spot.
Following the incident, members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest demonstration in front of the campus main gate.
