Bhubaneswar: BJP State President Manmohan Samal on Tuesday made a major announcement, stating that the state government will complete all pending recruitments in Corporations and Boards well before the government completing two years in office.
Speaking to the media, Samal said that June 12 will mark two years of the BJP government in Odisha. All the remaining appointments, including those in vacant Corporations and Boards, will be completed before this date.
“We will ensure that all pending recruitments are finished before the completion of two years. Appointments will be made in all vacant posts in Corporations and Boards,” Samal said.
He further informed that the process of appointing lawyers (advocates) has been completed in 29 districts of the state, and the remaining appointments in Khordha district will be done very soon.
On the issue of Cabinet expansion, Samal said the decision will be taken after discussions with central leadership.
Highlighting the government’s performance, Samal claimed that the BJP has already fulfilled nearly 80 percent of the promises made in its election manifesto. He assured that the remaining work will also be completed before the two-year mark.
Referring to the recently held elections in Assam and West Bengal, Samal said that Odisha BJP was given responsibility for 36 Assembly constituencies. He said a large number of party workers from Odisha were deployed in both states.
