Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued Orange and Yellow warnings for several districts of Odisha over the next five days.
On September 2, an Orange Warning has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundaragada, Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj. Also, Yellow Warning has been issued for heavy rainfall very likely at one or two places over Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Sambalpur, Debagada, Anugola and Subarnapur.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind with speed reaching upto 40-50 kmph is very likely at one or two places over Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Sambalpur, Debagada, Anugola, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj and Subarnapur.
Additionally, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty wind upto 30-40 kmph is very likely over Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Kataka, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Nayagada.
On September 3, Yellow Warning has been issued for heavy rainfall very likely at one or two places over Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Baragada. Thunderstorm with lightning and 40-50 kmph gusty wind is very likely over Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Baragada.Thunderstorm with lightning and 30-40 kmph wind is very likely over Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Nayagada.
On September 4, 5 and 6, Yellow Warning has been issued for thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind reaching upto 30-40 kmph very likely at one or two places over the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Kataka, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada.
