Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance Department has recovered significant immovable and movable assets during ongoing house searches linked to Rajesh Chandra Mohanty, Additional Chief Engineer of Central Irrigation Circle in Bhubaneswar.
According to the latest updates from the Vigilance team, the following assets have been unearthed so far in the name of Mohanty and his family members such as:
- One palatial triple-storeyed building measuring approximately 3000 sqft, located at plot no. 210-B, Baramunda Housing Board Colony, Lane-8, Bhubaneswar.
- One farm house along with a double-storeyed building measuring approximately 4000 sqft, spread over Ac 1.71 decimal land at Bimbol, Bhapur, Dhenkanal.
- Five valuable plots — one in Bhubaneswar and four at Bimbol, Bhapur, Dhenkanal.
- Cash: ₹6,23,000
- Bank deposits: Over ₹60.09 lakh
- Two four-wheelers — Hyundai Sportz and Honda City
- Two two-wheelers
Additionally, gold ornaments recovered during the searches are being weighed, and flight tickets worth ₹13.47 lakh purchased by Mohanty for travel expenses are being verified. The measurement and valuation of the buildings, farm house, and plots are currently being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
Searches are still continuing at six different locations, and further reports are awaited.
