Cuttack: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths uncovered significant assets during ongoing house searches linked to Rabindra Kumar Nayak, Forest Ranger of Kendrapada Forest Range, in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
This comes a day after the Vigilance launched simultaneous raids on Nayak’s residential properties, parental house, office chamber, and temporary residence based on allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
So far, the raids have revealed the following assets in the name of Nayak and his family members:
- A luxurious four-storeyed palatial residential building measuring approximately 6,400 sqft at Munduli, Baranga, Cuttack.
- One additional building at Sahadapada under Banki Police Station, Cuttack district.
- Six high-value plots in prime locations of Baranga, Cuttack.
- Cash amounting to Rs 2.14 lakh
- Bank deposits worth Rs 43 lakh.
- One four-wheeler (Maruti Grand Vitara) and one two-wheeler.
- Gold jewellery (currently being weighed and valued).
Meanwhile, the Vigilance Technical Wing is carrying out detailed measurement and valuation of the buildings and plots. Verification of other financial investments is also in progress.
Searches at the four locations are still continuing, and further recoveries are expected.
