Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light thunderstorms, lightning, and light to moderate rain in several places in 8 districts within three hours.
The districts are Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundergarh.
“Light thunderstorms, lightning and light to moderate rain with wind speed 30kmph to 40kmph likely to affect some parts of districts of Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundergarh within next three hours,” an IMD bulletin stated.
The IMD bulletin also cautioned about excessive lightning strikes and advised people residing in these eight districts to stay in safe places.
Residents of these eight districts are requested to stay vigilant about changing weather conditions and remain prepared to relocate to safer areas as necessary.
