Berhampur: In a shocking incident, a woman is suspected to have died by suicide after killing her two-year-old daughter at Sana Baragaon village in Nimina gram panchayat under Polasara police limits of Ganjam district on Thursday.
According to reports, while the deceased woman has been identified as Manika Gouda (30), her two-year-old deceased daughter has been identified as Geli.
Family members of deceased woman Manika alleging it to be a case of murder have informed the Polasara police.
Police have seized the bodies for conducting autopsies of the deceased and launched an investigation into the matter.
