Bhubaneswar: The body of a young woman was discovered hanging in a hotel room in the Master Canteen area in the capital city on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Brahmagiri area. She was reportedly employed by a mobile phone company.
According to reports, the woman had come to Bhubaneswar with her colleague for office-related work. Later, both checked into the hotel and were occupying the room.
While the hotel staff found her body hanging from the ceiling of the room on Thursday morning, he colleague went missing. His whereabouts are yet to be traced.
On being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to the Capital Hospital here for autopsy.
Police are now examining the CCTV footage of the hotel to ascertain the circumstances that led to the woman’s unnatural death.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased have alleged that she was murdered.
