Road Accident In Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: A woman was killed in a road accident near the Jobra area in Cuttack district on Saturday after a private bus hit the scooter she was riding.

The deceased has been identified as Swagatika Mohanty.

According to reports, the incident occurred when a private bus named “Jai Kapis” allegedly hit the scooter from behind, causing the woman to fall and sustain fatal injuries.

On being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body, and sent it to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack for postmortem examination.

The bus and the scooter involved in the accident have been seized, and an investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident.
