Bhubaneswar: A young techie ended his life by jumping from the eighth floor of his apartment Chandrama Complex at Kharvel Nagar in Bhubaneswar on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Ronit Jena.
According to reports, Ronit (23) took the extreme step after allegedly being cheated in love. The youth’s suicide was caught on CCTV, which shows climbing a ladder to the apartment’s roof. Family members said that Ronit was in love with a young woman from Brahampur and was bearing all her expenses. He was completely depressed after being cheated in love.
The police have also recovered Ronit’s last letter to his mother before his death. In the letter, Ronit apologised to his mother for his act. His family has demanded that a thorough investigation into Ronit’s death.
Meanwhile, police handed over Ronit’s body to the family after post-mortem.
