Youth Dies By Suicide In Kalahandi

Lovebirds Allegedly End Their Lives

Bhubaneswar: A youth allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Bobaria village under Koksara police limits in Kalahandi district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Lochan Majhi, a resident of the same village.

According to reports, locals found him hanging inside his house in the morning and alerted his family members, who subsequently informed the police. Acting on the information, Koksara police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.

Police said the exact cause of death will be ascertained after the autopsy report is received.

Family members alleged that Majhi was suffering from mental instability and may have taken the extreme step. A case of unnatural death has been registered and further investigation is underway.
