Bhubaneswar: A young man allegedly committed suicide by jumping onto railway tracks in Khordha district after reportedly facing unbearable mental torture from his wife and mother-in-law.

Ramachandra Badajena, a resident of Kumarbast village, had been enduring the alleged abuse for some time before his death.

In a disturbing video that has gone viral on social media, Ramachandra spoke about the torture he faced at the hands of his wife and mother-in-law. In the video he described the emotional pain and distress he was experiencing.

The body of Badajena was found on the train line near Dhaulimuhin under Jankia police station in Khorda last night. Ramachandra had married in the Jankia police station area and had a daughter with her. However, the couple’s relationship was reportedly marred by frequent disputes.

Following his death, Ramachandra’s family filed a complaint at the Khordha Shilpachal police station, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. The police are currently looking into the allegations of torture and harassment.

Ramachandra’s parents are said to be devastated by the loss of their son, while his wife has not yet commented on the incident.
