Bhubaneswar: A youth’s body was found hanging inside the railway medical campus under Mancheswar police station in the capital city on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Simanchal Bhoi.
According to sources, locals passing by the campus in the morning spotted the body and immediately alerted medical authorities, who then informed the police.
Upon receiving the information, Mancheswar police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem to a nearby hospital.
Preliminary investigations suggest suicide. Bhoi was reportedly employed as a helper in an ambulance at the medical facility.
“We have sent the body for post-mortem. The exact cause of death will be determined once the report is available,” a police official said.
