Youth Killed As Bus Hits Motorcycle On NH-16 In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A 21-year-old youth was killed after a speeding bus rammed into his motorcycle on National Highway-16 in Bhubaneswar on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The fatal accident occurred near the Patrapada area under Khandagiri police limits. The deceased has been identified as Narayan Barik, who was working as an employee at a shopping mall in the city.

According to reports, Barik was on his way home for lunch when the bus hit his motorcycle at high speed. The impact was so severe that he died on the spot.

Upon receiving information, personnel from Khandagiri Police rushed to the scene, recovered the body, and sent it for postmortem examination. The police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident and to determine the liability of the bus driver.

Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
