Youth Murdered For Intervening In Husband-Wife Fight In Sundargarh

Sundargarh: In a shocking incident, a young man was allegedly murdered while attempting to resolve a quarrel between a husband and wife in Mayabahala Dehuripada village under Talsara police station in Sundargarh district.

The deceased has been identified as Hemant Nayak, a local youth.

Hemant was killed after he intervened to pacify a heated argument between his neighbour Kandarpa Dehuri and his wife.

According to reports, a domestic dispute broke out between Kandarpa Dehuri and his wife. When the wife ran to Hemant’s house seeking help, Kandarpa followed her there. Hemant and his family managed to calm the couple and resolve the matter temporarily.

However, late at night around 11 PM, when Hemant was sitting outside his house, an enraged Kandarpa returned and attacked him with a sharp weapon on the head. Hemant died on the spot.
Police have arrested the accused, Kandarpa and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause behind the murder.

The incident has left the entire village in shock and mourning.
