Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik shared a stunning sand art on his social media post to mark the historic commencement of the Ratna Bhandar inventory of Shree Jagannath Temple, which begins today after 48 years.
Taking to his X handle, Pattnaik wrote: “Jai Jagannath. A truly historic day as the Ratna Bhandar inventory of Shree Jagannath Temple begins after 48 years. Feeling blessed to witness this sacred moment. Mahaprabhu’s grace to all. Sharing one of my previous artworks on this auspicious occasion”.
Through his post, Pattnaik conveyed his reverence for Lord Jagannath and excitement about the historic event, expressing gratitude for witnessing the moment and invoking Mahaprabhu’s blessings.
It is pertinent to mention that the inventory process will document and verify priceless gems, gold and silver ornaments, and other valuables belonging to the sibling deities Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra. Under tight security, authorised personnel and servitors will enter the Ratna Bhandar between 12:09 pm and 1:45 pm, following the approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, has appealed for cooperation during this sacred process.
