Bhubaneswar: Heatwave conditions continued to prevail in Odisha with seven stations recording maximum day temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius and above.
While Balangir remained the hottest place in the State for the second consecutive day by recording a maximum temperature of 41.8 degrees Celsius, the other places that recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees and above are Titilagarh at 41.3 degrees Celsius, Boudh at 41.0, Jharsuguda at 40.6, Sambalpur at 40.4, Sonepur 40.0 and Bhawanipatna 40.0.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded maximum temperatures of 35.2 degrees Celsius and 34.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
The seaside town of Gopalpur remained the coolest place in the State by recording a maximum temperature of 30.5 degrees Celsius followed by Paradip at 32.1, Puri at 32.8 and Chatrapur at 32.0.
