Koraput: Four children abandoned by their parents were rescued by the Childline here on Saturday. The incident was reported from Khilaput in Kundura block where a man left his four children after the death of his wife and chose to walk away. The man took another wife and started living separately while his children were left to themselves.
The neighbours took pity on the destitute children and rang up Koraput Childline to help the minors. A team of the Childline along with local police rushed to Khilapur and rescued the four children. They will be produced before the CWC on Sunday, said Bhimsen Harijan, a member of the Childline.
