Koraput: At least one person was killed and eight were injured when an auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling was mowed down by a speeding truck near Dayanidhiguda under Koraput Sadar police limits in Koraput district today evening.
According to reports, while one person died on the spot, eight others have been rushed to the Government Hospital here. Two of the injured are stated to be critical.
On being informed police have rushed to the spot and have seized the truck.
Police have detained the driver and helper of the truck who were inebriated.
