Youth Arrested For Raping Minor In Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: Gurandi police in Gajapati district today arrested a youth of Paralkhemundi allegedly abducting and raping a 15-year-old minor girl of Seranga area.

Gurandi Police booked the accused identified as Sunil under 363, 366, and 376 sections of IPC and section 6 of POCSO Act.

According to reports, Sunil had allegedly abducted the minor girl on August 27 on the false promise of marrying her. Allegedly after raping the minor for two days, the accused had dropped her at her home on August 29.

Father of the victim had lodged a complaint at the Gurandi police station alleging that his daughter was raped by the accused.

Following the complaint police arrested Sunil.
