CM Naveen Launches Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha Scheme In Rayagada, Jharsuguda Dists, Sanctions Funds

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved Rs 91 crore for three assembly segments of Rayagada district and Rs 39 crore for two constituencies of Jharsuguda under Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme.

In Rayagada, the funds will be utilized for 2,63 projects in 182 GPs under 11 blocks. Similarly, funds were sanctioned for two assembly segments in Jharsuguda- Jharsuguda and Brajrajnagar. It will be spent on 957 projects in five blocks under these constituencies.

In this program, the basic foundation of Odisha culture will be protected with the spread of Jagannath culture and the development of religious places and digital infrastructure in every village.

While launching the scheme through video conferencing, the CM said “Development of all villages is our main objective. Everyone in the village will be guaranteed education and health. Odisha’s rich culture will be protected. The developed villages will be the identity of modern Odisha. Under ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ scheme, Steps will be taken for the preservation of Jagannath culture in every village. All places of worship will be upgraded and heritage sites will be preserved,”.

Emphasizing the development of digital infrastructure in rural areas, Patnaik said internet connection will be made available in the villages. Science parks, skill development centers and banking facilities will be available in rural belts. The primary schools will also be included in the scheme, the CM added.

5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V.K. Pandian, who coordinated the event, said that the transformation program has created enthusiasm among the people.

Pandian said that the aim of the Chief Minister is to bring transformation in all villages through ‘Aam Odisha Nabin Odisha’.

The Government sanctioned Rs 10.35 crores for 50 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Rayagada constituency. Along with this, Rs 34.52 crore have been sanctioned for eight important projects after CMO visited the district. Among the projects, development and beautification of Maa Majhighariani temple, development of Jagannath temple in Rayagada, a hostel with 120 seats in Kashipur Kumakhal, development of Rayagada Model Degree College and Autonomous College etc. Similarly, Rs 8.51 crore has been sanctioned for 80 educational institutions and religious institutions under the programme. Along with this, Rs 8.91 crore has been sanctioned for nine  important projects after the CMO inspected the district. These include improvement of Chatikana Shiva temple, beautification and development of Nelia Dam, development of Gadgada waterfall. Similarly, Rs 10.45 crore has been sanctioned for 59 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Gunupur constituency. Along with this, Rs 82.85 crore has been given for 10 important projects which include development of Rameshwar Mahashambhu Shiva Temple, beautification of Matarabanam Suara Temple, bridge over Bansadhara river. Pandian said that Rs 126.28 crore has been sanctioned for 27 important projects in the district and steps have been taken to include the Saura language in the 8th schedule  of the Constitution.

Similarly, Rs 11.42 crore has been sanctioned for 126 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Jharsuguda Constituency of Jharsuguda District. Along with this, 2.74 crore rupees have been sanctioned for four  important projects after the CMO inspected the district. Among them, the Janghalinga Temple in Laikera. Along with this, 50 decimils of land has been given in Chandrashekharpur of Bhubaneswar for the Gond society of Jharsuguda. It will facilitate the accommodation of Gond community in the Capital city as well as promote their art and culture, . Pandian said. The government sanctioned Rs 8.08 crore for 118 educational institutions and religious institutions in Brajraj Nagar.

Along with this, Rs 5.41 crore has been sanctioned for four important projects after the district inspection by the Chief Minister’s office. It includes development and beautification of Maa Ramchandi temple. With this, at least 50,000 devotees can visit the temple every year,  Pandian informed.

Similarly, Pandian informed that the state government has made arrangement to provide land patta to the displaced people of Hirakud Dam. More than 1,800 families will be provided with patta for more than 3,130 acres of land. He said that the Chief Minister has ordered to distribute the patta to all by February.  Pandian said that 8.15 crores have been sanctioned for  eight important projects in the district.

On the occasion, Minister Jagannath Saraka, MLA Makarand Muduli, MLA  Raghunath Gamango, MLA Dipali Das, Alaka Mohanty along with ZP chairman and members, Block Chairman, local Sarpanchs  participated in virtual event.

They said that in the last 23 years, continuous development is going on in Odisha under the leadership and direction of the Chief Minister. The map of development in Odisha has completely changed today. Due to the visit of the Chief Minister’s office, the development at district level has improved and the problems that have been pending for long have also been resolved, they maintained.
