Puri: The State government will soon ply Jagannath Express bus services to Puri town very soon.
Chief advisor to the Chief Minister’s Office Suresh Chandra Mohapatra today said the bus service to Puri will be available for devotees under government’s LaCCMI scheme in a phase manner.
“The bus service under LAccMI scheme is now available from Gram Panchayat to block headquarters. In the next phase, the bus will connect to district headquarters. The Jagannath bus service will begin from the district headquarters to Puri via Bhubaneswar in phase-wise. It would be a great service for devotees,” Mohapatra said on the sidelines of reviewing works of Srimandir Parikrama Project.
The bus services will be launched by the Chief Minister.
He said that works of Sri Setu and Jagannath Ballav parking are underway smoothly. Yanja will start on January 12 and Purnahuti will be on January 17. Large number of devotees will gather to have a glimpse of the divine event. They all will use these facilities and I hope they would express satisfaction, he said.
