Jharsuguda: At least one person died and six others have gone missing after a boat carrying them capsized in river Mahanadi near Saradha under Lakhanpur block in Jharsuguda district on Friday.
According to reports, the country boat with about 50 persons including several women and children on board capsized in river Mahanadi near Saradha while it was on its way to Banjhipali in Bargarh district from Saradha.
More than 40 persons were rescued by local fishermen.
