Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today started election campaign for the party candidates in Odisha’s Sonepur and boosted the morale of the party leaders and workers.
Shah reached the rally venue in Sonepur at around 4 pm by a special chopper from Jharsuguda airport. He asserted the formation of double engine government in Odisha while addressing a massive rally at Sonepur under Bolangir Parliamentary Constituency.
Appealing to the people of Odisha to vote for BJP, Shah urged the voters to oust BJD-led government in State for a speedy growth of Odisha. He said that Odisha is deprived of development despite being a mineral-rich state.
“I appeal to the people of Odisha to send 20 MPs to Lok Sabha and bless the BJP to form a government in Odisha for the overall development of the state,” Shah said.
The Union Minister pointed out that Modi-wave is everywhere across the country and people of Odisha have also expressed their interest to bring BJP to power.
The BJP heavyweight also slammed the State government on various fronts including health, food security and others.
During his rally, union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Bolangir MP Sangita Singhdeo, MLA Jay Narayan Mishra among others were present on the stage.
After concluding the public meeting in Sonepur, Shah headed to Bhubaneswar and chaired a meeting party leaders and workers to discuss election strategy.
